SIDS Vulnerability Assessment Project Outline
The SIDS Vulnerability Assessment Project Outline has been produced in order to guide and support the development and implementation of a full assessment of vulnerability and adaptation to climate change in SIDS, under the Many Strong Voices programme.
Development of the Five-Year Action Plan
Development of the Five-Year Action Plan began during the MSV Stakeholder Workshop in May 2007. It addresses multiple components, including: capacity building in the Arctic and SIDS; targeted research on vulnerability and adaptation; the establishment of comparative case studies in the two regions; communications and outreach strategy, materials and activities; establishment of networks, partnerships and fundraising goals; and a strategy for Arctic and SIDS engagement in and influencing, local, national, regional and international decision-making processes.
