About Portraits of Resilience
The Portraits of Resilience photography project is part of the Many Strong Voices Programme (www.manystrongvoices.org). It illustrates the human dimension of climate change through the words and photographs of children in four Arctic communities: Shishmaref, Alaska; Uummannaq, Greenland; Nesseby, Norway; and Pangnirtung, Nunavut, Canada.
Portraits of Resilience opened in Copenhagen in December 2009 at the National Museum of Denmark and is now on tour and currently exhibiting in Oslo at the Norwegian Museum of Cultural History.
